We’re proud to have helped Andrea Campbell achieve a historic victory -- becoming the first Black woman Attorney General in Massachusetts. On the Boston City Council, Campbell developed a reputation as a bold, progressive, populist voice. We developed a strong narrative based on Campbell’s life story – a father cycling in and out of prison and a brother who died while in police custody. Campbell turned her pain into purpose – growing up in public housing in Roxbury to become the first in her family to go to college at Princeton and then UCLA Law School. Campbell faced a multi-millionaire, self-funding opponent (backed by the establishment) who outspent Campbell by more than four to one in the primary. We helped Campbell overcome the odds by developing a mix of humorous, heartfelt, and authentic advertising that cut through the clutter. Additionally, as Campbell’s opponent focused exclusively on broadcast television, we created a customized strategy of targeted broadcast, cable, OTT/CTV streaming, and digital advertising – getting the biggest bang for our buck. Campbell went on to win the general election with a strong platform on protecting reproductive rights, holding corporate special interests accountable, and providing economic opportunity for all.
